I have mixed feelings about this Compact Wine Chiller by Tazpi. It has some strong positives, but ultimately, the negatives outweigh those. I’ve broken my review into three categories (Positives/Negatives/Neutral) to more adequately provide my observations and opinions on the device.
POSITIVES
1. It seems to be built well, both in physical construction and with materials.
2. It’s nicely compact and lightweight, which makes it easy to find a place for it in my townhouse.
3. The door seals well, which keeps the humidity at optimal temperature for my wine.
4. Adjustments are quick and easy using the front panel buttons. The display can be moved between Celsius and Fahrenheight using one touch button. Another button turns an internal light on and off. And two separate buttons adjust the temperature, one up and one down.
5. The temperature display is bright and easy to read. It flashes to the desired temperature during adjustments but switches back to the current temperature display quickly.
6. The wine chiller is extremely quiet. I can’t hear it running at all, even when sitting next to it.
NEGATIVES
1. At the time of this review and at the time I ordered this chiller, the seller prominently advertised it as having a 12-bottle capacity, which is in line with its list price of $199.99. Unfortunately, it holds only 8, 1/3 less than expected.
2. The description states that the unit can chill wine down to 44 degrees; however, the selection only goes down to 46, and despite having that temperature selected, the internal temperature of this unit doesn’t reach that low. Even after letting it sit overnight before use rather than the four hours suggested in the manual before use and letting it cool an additional ten hours after loading six bottles, the lowest the chiller display reads is 47 degrees. A thermometer placed within the unit registered 48 degrees both before loading bottles and after letting bottles sit in the unit.
I’m disappointed since I prefer 46 degrees for my white wines and had ordered this wine chiller to replace one that stopped chilling below 50.
It is worth noting that I took these temperature readings at multiple points in the wine chiller and at different times to ensure accuracy. The wine chiller also sits in a seventy-degree house out of direct sunlight and away from any heat sources, so it’s not being stressed.
NEUTRAL
1. The buttons don’t have a lock function, so it’s best to place the chiller where it won’t get bumped easily. This isn’t unusual, however; only one of my last four wine chillers had a lock.
2. The hinge isn’t reversible, so plan accordingly for placement.
3. The shelves don’t have any type of stoppers, so be mindful when removing bottles to avoid pulling the shelves out too far and dropping them. They glide nicely but also quickly.
Overall, this isn’t a bad wine chiller for a small selection of wine, especially for those with limited space, but a product that doesn’t perform as expected or as described isn’t one I can wholly recommend.

This wine cooler holds 8 bottles and the shelves are adjustable depending on the sizes of the bottles. The controls are touchscreen and the LED light inside is an extra perk. There’s always room for a wine cooler in your kitchen, bar or office. The cooler is a very quiet one and this one is a good value for the money.

If you’re on the fence – get one. But get one that holds at least 2 more bottles than you THINK you need.
Very easy to set up and use. Whisper quiet. Didn’t notice any increase in my energy bill. Keeps your bottles nice and cool… Wine is ready right out of the cooler. Champagne needs to spend 20 minutes in the freezer before serving – for my tastes, anyway.

This review is for the TAZPI 8 bottle compact wine chiller. It is as silent as a fan in a PC. If you have it in your bedroom at night you can hear it go off. I have it with water bottles inside they get chilled enough for a pleasant cold drink but not cold enough that you can sit for a long period of time and expected to still be cold. I have a sound meter and it says it is around 40-41 decibels loud which is considered to be a “quite library” sound level. It has an inside light you can turn on and off as you need. The temperature reader can be changed from Fahrenheit to Celsius and vice versa. Since I have it in my bedroom the LED display is annoying when the lights are off at night so I put a mini towel on front of the LED display. Overall, it seems nice wine cooler.

I was super excited to get this wine fridge for my downstairs lounge, however when it arrived the temperature down button does not work. Effectily, this means that we can only use this on the warmest setting… Which is extremely disappointing to say the least. I’d be concerned for the quality of these…
