Very easy to get started with the basic flying. Easy to get up and just hovers to allow you to think about the nest move you want to make. Instruction could be clear and camera was poor

I tried flying it down the street in my suburban neighborhood, and this thing did not even survive the first flight. I followed all operating instructions to the letter.

PROBLEM 1: The controller mount is INCREDIBLY cheap. It does not secure the phone at all, and expects you to just sort of keep the phone balanced there, as if by magic.
Anyway, my phone inevitably fell out of the controller as I was flying the drone, and found out that–

PROBLEM 2: The drone has EXTREMELY short range. Could not have been more than 50 feet.
During the time it took me to pick the phone back up (not long), the drone continued flying until it was, apparently, out of range. The app/controller stopped responding entirely!

The drone kept on going, out of control, and crashed into a neighbor’s yard; unfortunately that neighbor has 100-foot trees on their property, so I am never going to be able to recover this thing. Huge waste of $80. And that’s not even mentioning the app, which I’m sure other reviewers have covered. (Spoiler: it sucks.)
